ShareCare Faith in Action Charity Profile

What began in early 1991 as In-Home Respite Care Service, was incorporated as ShareCare in November of the same year. In May of 1996, ShareCare became part of a larger network of Interfaith Volunteer Caregivers. Founded on the ideal of community volunteerism of neighbors helping neighbors, this network, Faith In Action was funded by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.

Our services have expanded from respite care to providing a wide variety of services to meet the needs of elderly and/or disabled people who live at home.

ShareCare Faith in Action Volunteer Information

Our volunteers are people of all ages with a variety of backgrounds and experiences who want to share their time and talent with those in need. We enable our volunteers by providing adequate training, liability and personal injury insurance and a support system.
