Every 90 minutes someone is diagnosed with ALS, or Lou Gehrig’s Disease, a devastating neuromuscular condition for which there is no known cause or cure. The Greater Philadelphia Chapter of the ALS Association provides support and resources for ALS patients, their families, and caregivers living in the eastern half of Pennsylvania, southern New Jersey, and Delaware (view service area). Billy Lake Memorial Als Foundation Volunteer Information
We need several volunteers on a continuing weekly basis to assist us with office tasks. You will work directly with the Volunteer Coordinator, who will instruct you on all necessary steps, including operation of any office equipment. This may include assistance with Chapter mailings, preparing materials for upcoming events, and assisting staff.Volunteers must be at least 14 years of age or older to volunteer with Habitat Birmingham. No construction skills necessary. The only requirements are a willingness to serve and learn.
