Camp Fire USA is a national coeducational youth agency serving boys and girls from kindergarten through high school.It's a movement that has met the changing needs of young people and their communities since its founding in 1910. It's an organization that helps kids develop self-reliance and self-confidence and helps them make the right choices in today's complicated world. Camp Fire USA works to prevent problems with kids. As a nation, it is less expensive and more effective to build a kid than to repair one. Camp Fire USA works to make our world a better place to live. Camp Fire USA may not solve the problems of the world, but it's helping to raise the kids who will.

Event though Camp Fire USA Central Oregon Council is a corporate, non-profit organization, it still takes money to provide services to volunteers, which give continuity to the Camp Fire programs. Although the organization is not allowed to make a profit in the traditional sense of the word, it is allowed to set financial goals from year to year calculated to cover actual anticipated operating costs, and then raise the needed amount.
