Forward Stride Charity Profile

Forward Stride is dedicated to improving lives through individualized programs rooted in Equine Assisted Activities and Therapies (EAAT). At Forward Stride, our #1 core value is to strive to be brave. We've learned this from the kids and adults in our program. They demonstrate bravery day in and day out. Within our organization bravery has many dimensions, which drive our approach to quality, ethics and compassion.

Forward Stride is a non-profit organization comprised of qualified therapists, committed staff, passionate volunteers and extraordinary therapy horses, all dedicated to helping people enrich their lives through evidence-based therapies. We offer a broad range of activities and therapeutic options including Hippotherapy, Therapeutic Sport Riding, Vaulting and Equine Facilitated Psychotherapy.

Forward Stride Volunteer Information

Forward Stride wouldn't exist if it were not for our volunteers. They are dedicated. They are remarkable. And, they directly affect the quality of so many people's lives. Volunteers, ages 12 and over, contribute over 1,500 hours on a monthly basis.

The Program Volunteers work directly with the Instructors or Therapists to provide assistance prior to and during lessons. The main responsibilities include participating in the lesson by leading the horse or sidewalking, and grooming and tacking the horses. What a wonderful opportunity to work outside with our clients and horses. Not too sure-footed around horses? Not a problem...all training is provided!

Forward Stride is a 501(c)(3) and you can impact lives by making a tax-deductible donation today. In addition to financial support, we'd love to receive donations of equipment, feed, services, talents and skills -- you name it.
