Shoreline Education for Awareness Charity Profile

SEA, Inc. was founded in Bandon, OR in 1990 by Bill and Joan Russell, and Owen and Sara Duvall. The all-volunteer non-profit organization has grown in influence and support, reaching 10,000 visitors annually. Our mission is to improve stewardship of our coastal areas by providing educational opportunities to the public to increase their awareness and knowledge of the shoreline habitats and wildlife along the southern Oregon coast.

Shoreline Education for Awareness Volunteer Information

As an all-volunteer organization, people are critical to the success of the SEA mission to increase public awareness of shoreline habitats, wildlife and environmental issues. The docents (wildlife interpreters) are our most visible volunteers. SEA also has opportunities for National Volunteers in residence. Finally, volunteers are needed to operate the SEA organization.
