Home Based Arts Usa Charity Profile
Home Based Arts USA began in 1994 with the mission of creating education programs and products to enrich the lives of children, especially minority and at-risk youth. The focus of the organization has always been to increase children's investment in their community by making them aware of the rich and valuable history of Dayton and the Miami Valley. The work of HBA can be seen in such places as your local bookstore to museums nationwide. The President of the United States and dignitaries from around the world have witnessed our achievements.
Home Based Arts Usa Volunteer Information
There are countless volunteer opportunities available within Historic Salisbury Foundation and its many various operations. Volunteers occupy a very important place within the organization. Without volunteers many of our special events and functions simply would not exist, such as the Josephus W. Hall House Museum. Many docents are required for regular weekend tours as well as special week-day tours for school children and retirement groups. The October Tour of Historic Homes event utilizes an estimated 400+ volunteers each year. Our volunteer gardening team puts many hours into keeping the museums herb garden planted, mulched, weed free and well watered. These are only a few examples of how you can get involved and make a difference in our historic community. Whether you are helping to plant a history seed in the minds of 4th graders on a school tour or weeding the herb garden, playing a role during October Tour, stuffing envelopes at the office during a mass mailing or answering the phone and greeting visitors, there is something you can do to help Historic Salisbury Foundation meet our goal of saving our landmarks and our historic neighborhoods.
