Chagrin Valley Horse Shows Charity Profile
Chagrin Valley PHA Horse Show Inc. (CVPHA) in 2006 established the Chagrin Valley PHA Horse Show Endowment Fund. This is a special fund that will be used to help raise money to preserve and protect Hunter Jumper Classic horse show for generations to come and to provide for Memorial gifts that serve the double purpose of promoting the endowment aims and perpetuating the ideals of those thus remembered.
We believe that the gifts to Chagrin Valley PHA Horse Show Endowment Fund are much more than an investment in the horse show or an act of support for the national equestrian community. Each gift is an investment in our community's future. Consider the following:
The Cleveland Grand Prix is the nations first and oldest grand prix,
The organization, Chagrin Valley PHA Horse Show Inc., holds one of the most prestigious outdoor horse shows annually. Started in the early 1960s, this horse show found it’s way back home to the Cleveland Metroparks Polo Field and draws competitors and spectators from around the nation,
With attendance exceeding 30,000 each July, this horse show now named the Merrill Lynch Hunter Jumper Classic, serves as a boon to the local economy, generating approximately $3 million in revenue each year for area hotels, restaurants and shops over the 9-day period,
Proceeds from the Classic benefits local and national organizations. Since the horse show’s return to the Polo Field in 1996, CVPHA has contributed more than $1 million over the years plus provides a venue for many other charity events,
The Hunter Jumper Classic brings together hundreds of volunteers who work year round in support of the show. This is part of "giving back" to the community
