Johnston Health Charity Profile

Johnston Health is your new health care system that includes Johnston Medical Center-Smithfield (formerly Johnston Memorial Hospital) and Johnston Medical Center-Clayton, opening in August.

With a mission to improve the health of the people in our communities, Johnston Health has established Johnston Medical Associates, which includes specialty and primary-care doctors’ practices in Smithfield, Clayton, Kenly and the communities of Cleveland and McGee’s Crossroads.

Johnston Health Volunteer Information

Volunteers at Johnston Health assist staff, patients and visitors. They work 4-hour shifts, while accumulating hours that are rewarded at the annual awards banquet with the presentation of service pins.

Volunteers are located in the reception areas of the Emergency Department and Same Day Surgery daily from 8 am - 5 pm They assist with patient check-in, while keeping families updated on their loved ones' treatment and progress.
