North Carolina Commission on Volunteerism and Community Service Charity Profile
The North Carolina Commission on Volunteerism and Community Service works to foster an ethic of volunteerism and community service in North Carolinians of all ages and backgrounds.
We strive to enhance the quality of life for North Carolinians through volunteer and community service and to ensure their long term prosperity by promoting the capabilities of people, communities and enterprises utilizing community service and volunteerism as an integral part of the growth of North Carolina.
The Commission administers the AmeriCorps*State and Citizen Corps programs in North Carolina. The Governor's Page Program, the North Carolina Mentoring Partnership and the North Carolina Award for Outstanding Volunteer Service are programs managed by the Commission.
