Family Violence and Rape Crisis Services Charity Profile

Since 1982, Family Violence & Rape Crisis Services has provided services to battered women and sexual assault victims in Chatham County, NC.

Family Violence and Rape Crisis Services Volunteer Information

Volunteer with FVRC as a crisis-line/victim advocate, child-care or office volunteer. We also have opportunities available during our events.

Volunteers respond to incoming crisis calls by providing crisis intervention, general support, information, resource referrals, and occasional accompaniment, providing advocacy to victims of both domestic violence and sexual abuse.

Volunteers at The Garden Place shelter have the opportunity to provide a number of services assisting staff with the daily operations of the shelter. Shelter volunteers are needed to provide general support and listening to shelter residents. The Garden Place is also looking for bilingual volunteers to provide support to Spanish-speaking residents.

Volunteers are needed at our new upscale thrift shop, to assist with the daily operations of a retail store.
