Matthews Alive Festival Charity Profile
The Matthews Alive! Festival is a Labor Day weekend celebration dedicated to the support of local non-profit organizations through music, arts and community involvement.
Matthews Alive! Inc. is a volunteer board of dedicated individuals who work year-round to make this four-day festival happen every Labor Day weekend. This group plans every detail of the festival. The members?commitment level is a gift of time and talent to the Matthews community. In one weekend, the town of Matthews has over a hundred thousand visitors who are able to experience the wonderful aspects of the community.
The festival is a grand four-day family event. Expect to see more than 150 arts and crafts vendors, 30 food vendors, one of the largest parades in the Southeast, the festival? annual quilt show and the Kids Connection interactive area, as well as a fantastic Midway full of games and rides for all ages and 4 Stages of free entertainment all weekend.
Matthews Alive Festival Volunteer Information
We are expecting more than 100,000 visitors and will need more than 2000 volunteers to make it all happen. We are looking for outgoing, energetic and responsible people who desire creative challenges. We need people who are willing to get their hands dirty while having a good time.
As a non-profit festival, all proceeds benefit the many non-profit organizations in the Matthews area who spend time working at the festival. As a volunteer, you will have the opportunity to work side-by-side with these non-profit organizations – helping raise money for a good cause!
