Habitat for Humanity ReStore Charity Profile
Millard and Linda Fuller founded Habitat for Humanity in Americus, Georgia in 1976. To date, Habitat International has built over 200,000 homes in over 100 countries sheltering in excess of 1 million people.
Habitat for Humanity of Pitt County was founded in 1991 and dedicated the first Pitt County house that same year. The 50th house was completed in 2007.
Guided by Christian principles in partnership with people of all faiths from all walks of life, Habitat of Humanity of Pitt County transforms lives, families, and communities through building affordable homes while creating opportunities for responsible homeownership.
Habitat for Humanity ReStore Volunteer Information
Habitat for Humanity of Pitt County, Inc. could not operate without the generous service of our volunteers!
Volunteers are needed at the work site, in the ReStore, as well as on committees.
Non Construction Volunteers serve behind the scenes raising funds, supporting families, staffing special events and serving on committees.
Construction Volunteers build homes every Thursday and Saturday. The “Construction Calendar” page lets you know where we are working.
ReStore Volunteers prepare materials for display, assist customers, and keep our ReStore organized. The ReStore accept donations of new and used building and home items
Community Service Volunteers work in the ReStore.
