Western North Carolina Historical Association Charity Profile
The Western North Carolina Historical Association is a nonprofit organization incorporated in 1952 to:
Preserve and aid in the study of the history of WNC and related areas through direct activity and cooperation with other agencies.
Collect and preserve historical materials; Foster historical study and writing; Encourage historical works through aids, prizes, and awards; Publish historical materials; Preserve sites, buildings, and objects of historical interest; Sponsor observance of historic dates and tours to historic places;
Sponsor or aid local and county associations for similar purposes.
Western North Carolina Historical Association Volunteer Information
The Western North Carolina Historical Association depends on individuals to help keep our nonprofit organization vital. There are many exciting volunteer opportunities to choose from at Smith-McDowell House, Biltmore School, or with the Association. Group activities are also available.
