Federated Conservationists of Westchester County Charity Profile
Federated Conservationists of Westchester County, Inc. (FCWC) has been dedicated to environmental planning and education since 1965. FCWC was founded by diverse groups of concerned citizens interested in speaking with one voice on regional environmental matters.
FCWC goals include protecting wetlands and wildlife habitats; ensuring adherence to environmental regulations; protecting and enhancing Westchester’s natural resources: it's air, land and water; promoting mass transit and fighting automobile dependent sprawl; and safeguarding and expanding our county’s parks.

The Westchester County Department of Planning is currently looking for committed volunteers to help monitor Westchester's water quality.
The Westchester County Department of Planning is kicking off a new volunteer monitoring program, the Westchester County Citizen's Volunteer Monitoring Program (WCCVMP) to create a baseline of water quality data on waterbodies throughout Westchester County and make the information accessible to the public through an online database.
