Messinger Woods Wildlife Care and Education Center, Inc. Charity Profile
Mission is to promote community awareness, education and instruction, involvement, understanding, appreciation, and acceptance of our wildlife in order to conserve it. To co-exist and protect each other, our natural surroundings, and all the inhabitants of our earth by education & example. To promote quality care and medical attention for debilitated wildlife in a professional hospital setting, with the goal of increasing successful wildlife releases.
Messinger Woods Wildlife Care and Education Center, Inc. Volunteer Information
Hospital (Site Care) Volunteers are responsible for actively reporting for agreed upon weekly shifts to render care to the wildlife at the Messinger Woods Hospital, out buildings, out cages, and properties.
Hospital (Site Care) volunteers are to report to the hospital shift leaders, operations coordinators, or hospital director, as required, and complete all assigned tasks. Messinger Woods will provide pre-license training. At the least, you must be licensed as a wildlife rehabilitation assistant before working with wildlife.
