Northwest New Mexico Arts Council Charity Profile

The Northwest New Mexico Arts Council was formed to sponsor and encourage cultural and educational activities in Northwest New Mexico. The Council sponsors cooperative planning, research, fund raising, and public education programs, administers property, and undertakes such other services and programs deemed necessary to encourage participation and appreciation of arts by all citizens in the area. Overall organizational development and growth is a current target of the organization, rather than the current trend of proceeding on a project-by-project basis. Art shows and performances are the present project focus. Our Mission


The Northwest New Mexico Arts Council is a supporter and advocate for the visual, literary and performing arts in Northwest New Mexico. It will seek to develop and provide education that will enhance the appreciation of all visual, literary and performing arts within the region. The N.W.N.M.A.C. recognizes the diversity of all cultures that contribute to the arts, and will support all traditions and art forms equally and enthusiastically

Northwest New Mexico Arts Council Donation Information

The New Mexico Arts Council provides the Northwest New Mexico Arts Council with a grant to support arts in the community. The funds this fiscal year at around $3,000 and we would like to match this grant.

The NWNMAC works with local artists to bring The Art Express into the schools to enhance their curriculums and provides the community with workshops dedicated to the arts of the Four Corners.

Lend an artist hand to the Northwest New Mexico Arts Council in San Juan County and support music, aspiring painters, future sculptors for workshops and arts in the schools.

Any support that you can provide so local young visual artists shine is greatly appreciated by the arts council.
