Rivers and Birds Charity Profile
Rivers & Birds' mission is to provide experiential education which celebrates the interconnection of all life and which inspires individuals to be leaders for Earth stewardship and peace.
Rivers & Birds believes that, for a healthy, peaceful future, we must all, children and adults alike, understand and strengthen our sense of self in relationship to the physical world around us. Using positive learning adventures, we teach the connectedness of all systems: natural, living, and manmade. We celebrate this diversity that is the key to life on Earth.
In 1998, wildlife biologist, Roberta Salazar, established Rivers & Birds as a nonprofit educational organization. Today our programs, conducted by a skilled staff of scientists, research biologists, and educators serve as examples to others.
