United Way of Central New Mexico Charity Profile
United Way engages the community to help itself. On a personal level, each of us is invited and encouraged to connect to what matters most to us by directing our donations, by volunteering, or by joining with others for the common good. United Way of Central New Mexico has many ways that people can connect with one another to improve our community. As a result of the outstanding efforts of the donors, volunteers and staff, United Way of Central New Mexico has increased its fundraising results each year. Not only did we raise more in donations, but we are forming collaborations and partnerships to spend your money smarter by working with other funding groups and service providers to create better solutions to our community’s human problems. We are actively inviting everyone in the community to give what they can to build a better community to come home to.
United Way of Central New Mexico Volunteer Information
By joining a Community Fund Panel, donors to United Way of Central New Mexico are invited to connect themselves to what matters by helping decide where Community Fund dollars will be allocated in our community. With a team of eight to ten volunteers, panel members review agencies' program proposals, make site visits and examine services, administration and outcomes to determine which programs most efficiently meet the grant criteria.

Giving to the Community Fund is the best way to help the most vulnerable people in Central New Mexico. As a Giver, your gift will be combined with the gifts of others to create a BIG impact! Feeding the hungry, sheltering the homeless, keeping children safe and empowering the disabled and elderly are just a few examples of what Giving to the Community Fund can do!
