Isaiah House Charity Profile

Isaiah House is a non-profit agency for children and families in Essex County, New Jersey. Community based and supported, the organization is the result of a 1984 alliance between the Community Service Council of the Oranges and Maplewood (a division of United Way of Essex and West Hudson), the Junior League of the Oranges and Short Hills, and the Concerned Clergy of East Orange. Having opened their doors in 1988, Isaiah House remains the only shelter in East Orange and provides temporary lodging, food, social and financial services, as well as comfort and hope for over 100 families a year.
