TeamMates Mentoring Program Charity Profile
Tom and Nancy Osborne founded the TeamMates Mentoring Program in 1991 in an effort to provide support and encouragement to school aged youth. The goal of the program is to see youth graduate from high school and pursue post-secondary education. To reach this goal, youth meet one hour per week with a caring adult who serves as a mentor. Mentors are volunteers from the community who have dedicated themselves to making a difference in the life of a young person. Mentors give youth a sense of hope, purpose and vision.
The TeamMates Mentoring Program currently provides a mentor for over 3,000 youth across Nebraska and Iowa.
The mission is to positively impact the world by inspiring youth to reach their full potential through mentoring.
TeamMates Mentoring Program Volunteer Information
Mentors volunteer one hour per week to youth in grades three through twelve to make what is called the one hour difference. Mentors are asked to commit to a minimum of one school year with the goal of following their mentee through high school graduation.
TeamMates Mentoring Program Donation Information
With your help we can reach our goal of mentoring 10,000 children throughout Nebraska and Iowa by the year 2015. There are thousands of children who have a void in their lives. Connecting with them early on helps to fill that void with positive influences so they won't make bad choices.
