Central Nebraska Peace Workers CNPW View Charity Profile
The Central Nebraska Peace Workers (CNPW) is a collaborative force of individuals who live in central Nebraska and originate from several groups, including the Nebraskans for Peace, Friends, Mennonites, and Greens. Initiating the Central Nebraska Peace Workers group in December 2001, they currently have 40 members from the Hastings, Grand Island, Kearney, and eastern central rural areas.
Monthly meetings are held on the first or fourth Sunday afternoon of the month in Grand Island. For more information on meeting dates and speakers, see the Meeting Information & Speakers link. Minutes from past meetings are found under Meeting Minutes.
Members are quite adept with writing news releases and community flyers denouncing the current administration's tactics on waging war, instead of finding peaceful alternatives. See Community Flyers to see all of the CNPW's communications. As well, many individuals have felt compelled to write Letters to the Editor of several area newspapers. Feel free to use these letters as food for thought for your own thought-provoking letters.
