Migrations and Developpement - Morocco Charity Profile

Migration & Development is a Franco-Moroccan association under French law, established in 1986 by migrants to carry out development activities in the villages of their region of origin, the Atlas and Anti Atlas of Morocco, hit by a severe drought since the mid-70s. With the support of volunteer experts in France, the first actions on the infrastructure: electrification of villages, small dams and irrigation, schools and clinics, drinking water. Gradually, an integrated rural development program was developed in participation with local people, migrants, which has been supported by researchers, funders of the North and the local and national authorities marocaines.
