YWCA Missoula Charity Profile
Ada’s Place Transitional Housing Program is an 18-month program designed to help homeless women and their children work toward self-sufficiency and independence. Ada’s Place offers women the opportunity to gain knowledge, education, and skills in a variety of areas, while working on goals that will assist them in obtaining permanent housing and achieving economic security.
The Pathway program offers safe shelter, crisis counseling and support for survivors of domestic and sexual violence. Services include the 24-hour crisis line; emergency women and children's shelter; walk-in peer counseling; support groups; in-house licensed therapist; referrals to community resources; and legal, personal and medical advocacy.
After being raped or assaulted, navigating through the medical, legal and emotional aftermath can feel overwhelming, YWCA Missoula is committed to providing a safe place to think through those first steps to the healing process and find support. Surviving a sexual assault is not easy, but with the YWCA’s non-judgmental advocacy, survivors can begin to heal.
The YWCA’s biannual Women’s Leadership Series gives local women a chance to hone their authentic leadership skills in a feminist environment.
