American Red Cross of Montana Charity Profile
Since its first response to a house fire in 1907, the American Red Cross of Montana has served the people of Montana by preventing, preparing for, and responding to emergencies. We save lives by providing certification in First Aid and CPR classes. We tend to the immediate needs of disaster victims by providing shelter, clothing, first aid and mental health services. We enable military families to quickly communicate with members of the United States Armed Forces serving overseas during emergencies. When the need arises, we participate in regional and national disaster response.
While the American Red Cross of Montana was founded as part of a Congressional Charter, it operates independently of the United States government and receives no government aid. Therefore the Red Cross relies heavily on the generosity and passion of its volunteers and donors.
