Lucas House Aid Organization Charity Profile

Mission Statement:
Lucas House was created with a mission to utilize whatever usable materials the organization is able to acquire in the form of non-monetary donations, (clothes, toiletries, ready-to-eat food, etc), from individuals and or organizations, through direct and indirect requests for contributions, as well as networking efforts with other charities and aid establishments, to provide for various groups in need within the St. Louis metro area, with primary focus given to the homeless population.

Lucas House Aid Organization Volunteer Information

Current Status:
Lucas House, which was founded in 2007, is a very small informal aid organization, comprising only a few official members/volunteers. The organization is officially registered with the state of Missouri, but receives no allowance or formal support from any government establishment or non-governmental organization. Lucas House is not an incorporated nonprofit, is not tax exempt, does not ask for or collect any monetary donations, and does not have any paid employees or professional solicitors. Any service done with or for Lucas House, including membership, is strictly voluntary, and one hundred percent (100%) of all non-monetary contributions received are passed on to those being aided.

Donating to Lucas House:
Every endeavor to contribute toward the efforts of Lucas House is very much appreciated, we are however, unable to accept monetary gifts. Most of the items we collect can be found in dollar and other discount stores, (e.g. Dollar Tree, Dollar General, Family Dollar, Wal-Mart, etc). If you live within the St. Louis area and would like someone to pick up items you wish to donate, please call (314) 374-9404; we will do our best to schedule a suitable time to pick up the items. Please print and complete the donation form and have it ready with your gifts. Thank you!
