YMCA Trout Lodge & Camp Lakewood Charity Profile

YMCA Trout Lodge & Camp Lakewood Volunteer Information
Our volunteer program is designed to help supplement the program and service departments of the YMCA of the Ozarks from March 1 through November 30. We require a minimum stay of six weeks, with each “workamper” providing at least 25 hours per week. In order to allow other families the opportunity to participate in our popular program, we limit workampers to a maximum 12-week stay. All volunteers in this program must have a camper or live-in RV. (Tent or primitive camping is not available.) Pets are allowed, but you must provide proof of vaccination. Due to the nature of our business, background checks are required by the YMCA, the state and our insurance carriers. You will be asked to complete these forms before your arrival at the YMCA of the Ozarks.
In the best situations, we will use your talents where they are best suited. In return for your efforts, we will provide three meals per day, per person, in our Trout Lodge dining room, as well as water, electricity and septic hook ups for your camper-coach. You will meet many staff and families that live and work on property, and have the opportunity to be part of our YMCA community. We are a recreational facility that offers many activities, to which you will be given access.
