YWCA Metro St. Louis Charity Profile

We provide opportunities for women to improve their lives through programs that:

Assist in the development of economic, social and leadership skills.

Advocate and model social and racial justice.

Provide early childhood and parenting education for low-income families.

Provide crisis intervention and social support to women who are victims of sexual assault.

Prepare women who are low-income, homeless, and unemployed to successfully return to independent housing and jobs.

YWCA Metro St. Louis Volunteer Information

Volunteers are needed to:

Act as guest speakers for YW-Teens programs, including Young Women’s Leadership Conferences;

Possibilities include entrepreneurship, financial literacy, goal setting, career exploration, breaking through the glass ceiling of management and motivationsl subjects;

Act as career mentors (opportunities available with a range of commitments from one day up to one year);

Provide staff training on financial literacy topics, management issues, and other subjects;

Provide general office and program administrative assistance.
