Missouri Council of the Blind Charity Profile

The purpose of Missouri Council of the Blind shall be to promote the general well-being of our members and legally blind people in Missouri, and to support or participate in other programs promoting the best interests of legally blind people everywhere.

The Missouri Council of the Blind is a support group that can provide more information and help guide you through the maze of questions that will arise as you build your new lifestyle. Information provided includes scholarships, summer camps, special services program, adaptive technology information, health benefits, employment and legislation issues and public awareness programs.

Available upon request is the Missouri Chronicle, a quarterly publication of the Missouri Council of the Blind. It is free and can be obtained in large print, braille, Email or on cassette.

The Missouri Council of the Blind encourages local affiliates within Missouri to actively support blindness issues and act as the local support group for the newly blinded young people as well as the older blind. Many members attend the state convention each October and the national convention each July.
