National Brittany Rescue and Adoption Network Charity Profile
National Brittany Rescue & Adoption Network (NBRAN) is an alliance of dedicated Brittany rescue volunteers who share a deep love for the breed and who will work to rescue, rehabilitate and re-home Brittanys in need, whether abandoned, lost, stray or surrendered to rescue for placement. As volunteers united in a common cause, we are committed to the care of these dogs in foster homes, and providing for their physical and emotional needs. We are committed in our endeavor to help them with all the resources we have available.
We pledge to maintain a community of volunteers who treat each other, and the dogs they rescue, with respect, courtesy, kindness and love. We will seek always to lend encouragement and to support one another, and to facilitate friendly collaboration and cooperation between our volunteers. We believe that by building a supportive, dog-centered organization founded on respect, honesty and integrity, we will always remain focused on the welfare of the Brittanys entrusted to our care and hold their interests uppermost in our hearts and minds. Our mission is to place these dogs in safe, loving and permanent homes with approved applicants, and to provide a supportive network for our volunteers, who after all, make our goals possible.

National Brittany Rescue and Adoption Network Volunteer Information
NBRAN Canine Railroad (or CR) is the transportation of rescued Brittanys from one place to another. In a CR run, someone volunteers to drive a dog a certain distance where they meet another person at a prearranged place, and the second person continues to drive, meeting another person if necessary, until the dog reaches its new owner. It really does work! And our babies get to their new homes without a whole lot of expense.Sometimes airlines can't fly brittanys because the weather is too hot or too cold.Sometimes the adopting family cannot afford the airline fees. Sometimes the brittany shouldn't fly. For these reasons, CR runs are part of the lifeblood of canine rescue.
The Brittany CR pages are a tool for putting volunteer drivers together with CR run organizers. Volunteers list themselves here, and run organizers can search for volunteer drivers based on their location, driving range, day of the week, etc.
Volunteers create their listings here, providing their names, their general location, email (and other contact info, if they like), how far they think they can drive, and the best days for them to drive. Their listings are not a commitment to drive on a particular day.
Run organizers can search the listings for volunteers for each leg of a CR run. Again, the more volunteer drivers listed, the better the chances of finding good matches for any particular run.
