ReDiscover Charity Profile

The mission of ReDiscover is to deliver mental health and substance abuse services to help individuals and families achieve healthier and more productive lives.

We started out in Lee’s Summit, MO as a group of volunteers in the basement of a local church. We incorporated in 1969. Over the years, the community has known our agency and our unique programs by several different names, including Research Mental Health, North Star, and Common Ground. In 2003, we permanently changed our agency name to ReDiscover.

ReDiscover Volunteer Information

We have specific roles and convenient schedules for each volunteer.

We need volunteers for special events; we need volunteers for recurring tasks on a weekly, monthly, or quarterly basis.

We have volunteer opportunities for individual adults, as well as groups of adults, such as fraternities and sororities, corporate teams, church groups, and clubs.

We have opportunities for organized youth groups, troops, and classes with adult leaders, as well as families.
