Special Olympics Missouri Charity Profile
Our Mission is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with mental disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy, and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes, and the community.

Through 19 year-round SPORTS, Special Olympics Missouri offers children and adults with mental disabilities training and competition divisioned by age and ability. We're more than sports, however; our program gives athletes the CONFIDENCE and skills to hold jobs, get better grades and earn respect. We provide an OPPORTUNITY for every individual to feel accepted and appreciated. Whether you coach, volunteer or donate, you can see REWARDS immediately. EXPERIENCE the true spirit of sport today.
Special Olympics Missouri Volunteer Information
Volunteers are the foundation of Special Olympics Missouri. We depend on thousands of volunteers to help coach athletes, conduct events and serve on organizational and fundraising committees. The efforts of a volunteer can help provide opportunities to children and adults with mental disabilities, who, if given the chance, can participate and excel in many of the sports offered.
Special Olympics Missouri Donation Information
Special Olympics Missouri is a non-profit 501 (C) (3) organization that relies on donations from individuals, businesses, foundations and community events. All the money raised in Missouri, stays in Missouri to support our program in the areas of competition, sports and training, development, outreach, and family and public education.
