Hope for the Children of the Street-HCS Charity Profile

Hope for the Children of the Street is a small but growing international partnership of Christians whose mission is to follow our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, in working with the poor, oppressed, suffering Street Children and all abandoned children. We promote their human transformation, seek justice for and bear witness to them about the Good News of the Kingdom of God. We accomplish this by rescuing them from the street and providing a safe Christian refuge where they can grow and learn. We also try to initiate community programs that help to protect and safeguard all children. As Christians we feel obligated and privileged to help the Kingdom of God grow by planting new churches in the communities were our Street Children facilities are located.

We who recognize God's providence and fidelity to his people are dedicated to living by Faith, and to share that faith among ourselves and those children we serve, with absolute respect and unconditional love. That commitment calls us to serve suffering children of the street, and to protect and safeguard all children.

Just as Jesus Christ in his humanity is the visible sign of God's presence among his people, so our efforts together in the HCS-Volunteers of Fai†h family are a visible sign that effects the presence of God, working through the Holy Spirit among ourselves and our children.

Hope for the Children of the Street-HCS Volunteer Information

Combined, we have volunteered and gone on over 100 trips, in Brazil, Honduras, and the USA before we moved here full-time. We believe that when a volunteer accepts the call from our Savior to leave his or her comfort zone, and travels anywhere in the world for the cause of Christ, that person is fulfilling the good work started in them by Fai†h. They have been guided in the beginning by the Holy Spirit to Volunteer, and we understand what it feels like, when all you know is that you Have to GO.
