YWCA of Minneapolis Charity Profile
The YWCA of Minneapolis is a nonprofit membership organization founded in 1891 as a member of the national YWCA, an autonomous women's movement. We have been at the forefront of social change ever since. Today, the YWCA of Minneapolis serves over 25,000 people annually with hundreds of programs, classes and support groups. Our mission is to empower women and girls and to eliminate racism.
The YWCA of Minneapolis stands for a fully-inclusive community where each person is healthy and valued, and where racial justice, gender equality and human dignity are promoted and sustained through bold and effective women's leadership.
We continue to build on the strength and success of our current programs for children and youth and develop new programs of the highest quality to meet the needs of emerging and under-served populations.
