Animal Humane Society Charity Profile
We are dedicated to creating a more humane world for animals by promoting the responsible treatment of animals and by enriching the relationship between animals and people that enhances human lives immeasurably.
The newly merged humane society is the largest animal welfare organization in Minnesota. Supported solely by donations and fees, we are a private, nonprofit organization with full-service facilities, a statewide presence and a national voice.
We have been awarded the Charities Review Council "Meets All Standards" seal, indicating that we meet all sixteen of its Accountability Standards in four critical areas: Public Disclosure, Governance, Financial Activity, and Fundraising.
It is our job and our passion to help animals. To do so effectively and responsibly, we work with people -engaging the minds, hearts and hands of devoted volunteers and donors, talented staff, and strategic partners. Together we serve the immediate and lifelong needs of animals, their human companions and the communities in which they live.
