American Association of University Women Traverse City Area Branch Charity Profile

AAUW is the largest and oldest national organization for women, focusing on advocacy, action, research and lifelong learning.

The Traverse City Area Branch of AAUW was chartered in 1954. Various community projects, congenial interest groups, networking with other women's groups, and issues and topics of interest are all a part of the overall programming offered by the Branch.

American Association of University Women Traverse City Area Branch Volunteer Information

The AAUW Legal Advocacy Fund, launched in 1981, supports women seeking judicial redress for sex discrimination in higher education. Programs include case support, a volunteer network of attorneys and social scientist, campus outreach, a public education campaign, and the LAF Speaking Out for Justice and Progress in Equity awards.
