Little Traverse Conservancy Charity Profile
Since 1972, the Little Traverse Conservancy has evolved to become one of the most established and effective regional land trusts in the country.The mission of the Little Traverse Conservancy is to protect the natural diversity and beauty of northern Michigan by preserving significant land and scenic areas, and fostering appreciation and understanding of the environment. Our service area includes Chippewa, Mackinac, Emmet, Cheboygan, and Charlevoix counties.
Little Traverse Conservancy Volunteer Information
Since 1972, the Little Traverse Conservancy has evolved to become one of the most established and effective regional land trusts in the country. From a small group of dedicated volunteers, the organization has now grown to a full-time professional staff and more than 150 volunteers. We are funded entirely by individuals and receive no government funding for operations.
Little Traverse Conservancy Donation Information
The success of the Conservancy's land protection and education programs can be attributed directly to our members. Over 70 percent of our funding comes from membership support. We do not receive state or federal funding for our operations and rely on the more than 4,000 families each year who financially support our efforts.Your membership support will join with thousands of others and help protect the north for generations to come.
