Old Newsboys' Goodfellow Fund of Detroit Charity Profile
The Old Newsboys' Goodfellow Fund of Detroit was founded in 1914 with the primary mission, No Kiddie without a Christmas. In 2010 the Detroit Goodfellows distributed 36,000 gift boxes including warm clothing, toys, books, games and candy to boys and girls aged four through 10 in Detroit, Highland Park, Hamtramck and River Rouge, Michigan. The organization also supports shoe, dental, campership and a scholarship program to Detroit's Wayne State University School of Journalism.

Volunteer opportunities include assisting in package distribution around the holiday season and dressing dolls which are distributed to girls aged four through 10. Volunteers also assist in fundraising efforts for the organization by participating in a letter-writing campaign.
