Make-A-Wish Foundation of Michigan Charity Profile
Since its inception in 1984, the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Michigan -- a chapter of the Make-A-Wish Foundation of America -- has brought joy into the lives of thousands of people in our Michigan community through its important wish-granting mission. This year Make-A-Wish Foundation of Michigan celebrates its 25 birthday and challenges the community to celebrate with us by helping us grant the wishes of over 400 courageous kids waiting for wishes this year. The Foundation has granted more than 5,600 wishes in its 25-year history. More than 80% of the Foundation’s expenditures are directly related to program services (wish granting) and the Foundation has offices in Detroit, Ann Arbor and Grand Rapids. Make-A-Wish Foundation of Michigan Volunteer Information
Come and join the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Michigan on the annual Wish-A-Mile Bicycle Tour event (WAM), presented by Eaton Corporation. The catered 3-day journey from Traverse City to Chelsea will take riders on a scenic tour of lush Michigan landscape, with stops in Big Rapids and Dewitt.Riders and volunteers participate in honor of Wish Heroes- wish kids who have received their special dreams come true and will later be reunited with each other upon reaching the finishing line.
