Arts & Scraps Charity Profile
Arts & Scraps provides children with affordable learning and creative experiences using recycled industrial scraps.
We recycle 28 tons of material annually, serving over 275,000 children. We are open to the public and invite all who need ideas and interesting materials.
Arts & Scraps Volunteer Information
Every Wednesday is open volunteer day at the warehouse from 10:00 - 2:00. Standing and sitting tasks available.
Arts & Scraps attends public and private events throughout the year all around the Detroit Metropolitan Area with activity tables for children. We encourage family volunteers and youth groups. It's good for youth to be behind the table, making examples, giving directions, filling bins and feeling important. When a child can work a 2 to 3 hour shift and know they are present to help others, they are ready. Volunteer once a year or every few months.
Arts & Scraps Donation Information
Arts & Scraps gratefully accepts donations to be used in educational programming. You will receive a thank you letter recognizing your donation for your taxes. Thank you for supporting activities for 275,000 children and recycling 28 tons of material annually!
