Somebody Cares New England Charity Profile
Annually we give away over 10,000 bags of groceries to families living in poverty and serve over 8,000 meals through the community outreaches.We provide food vouchers to Market Basket for those with special needs.
We give vouchers to single moms for back to school. Rent assistance to families facing eviction. We provide houseware items to those moving into apartments from the shelter.
Annually we bring in 6 tractor trailer truck of personal care, food and housewares that we donate to over 12 social agencies and chiurches that are serving those in poverty.
Somebody Cares New England Volunteer Information
Volunteers come from all walks of life. They prepare,serve and clean up for the outreaches, unload trucks of food, deliver, and pick up donations.
At our outreach center they organize, paint, clean and sort food in the pantry.
They help to keep the neighborhood clean and safe. They pick up trash, sweep and report any suspicious behavior to the Police.

Donations of finances are our primary need. Each tractor trailer truck costs $2,115.00 At the Merrimack valley food bank we spend approx $150.00 a month. From Market BAsket and BJ's
we spent approximately $7,500.00 annually.
Gift in Kind-NEEDED non perishable food items, housewares, cleaning supplies, furniture,
clothing (seasonal) and cars for those getting jobs.
