Run For Kathy Charity Profile
Kathy was a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, cousin, friend, and teacher in the community where she spent the majority of her life - Bowie, MD. She lived life to the fullest and touched so many lives around her. In January 1999, at the young age of 36 she succumbed to cervical cancer, a battle she fought for 1-1/2 years. Even in the end, she still had the strength to reassure and comfort others. Her family and friends will always remember Kathy, not as the victim stricken with such a deadly disease, but as the active one who was always on the go and who had a deep appreciation for her family and friends.

We are always looking for people who would like to volunteer. There are various tasks to be performed both before the event and on race day.

Donations are tax deductible and all proceeds will go directly to The Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center at Johns Hopkins to help fight cancer.
