Habitat for Humanity / 7 Rivers Maine Charity Profile
Habitat for Humanity/7 Rivers Maine is an ecumenical Christian community fellowship of caring people committed to providing adequate, family-owned housing. We are a partnership of families, volunteers, and contributors working together, without condition or prejudgment, to eliminate substandard housing. As an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International, HFH/7RM coordinates the labor of volunteers with contributions of money and materials to build modest, affordable housing and rehab family-owned homes in partnership with qualified families.

Habitat for Humanity/7 Rivers Maine is a volunteer-driven organization. We welcome people from all walks of life to join us as we build simple, decent, affordable houses in partnership with families in need. Though the vast majority have no construction experience or building skills, volunteers are involved in most phases of construction. By working side-by-side with the family who will live in the house, our volunteers experience for themselves the joy created when a family is able to realize their dream of home ownership.
