St. Joseph Hospital Charity Profile
St. Joseph Hospital, under the umbrella of St. Joseph Healthcare, is a 112-bed acute care community hospital located in Bangor, Maine. Founded in 1947 by the Felician Sisters of Enfield, Connecticut, St. Joseph Healthcare's mission embodies wellness promotion and healing of the whole person – mind, body and spirit.
St. Joseph Hospital is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations and is licensed by the Maine Department of Human Services. The facility recently completed major renovations in which virtually all patient care areas have been updated. These areas include patient rooms, 80% of which are now private; state-of-the-art Emergency Department and Operating Suites; new MRI Center; Radiology; Cardiology; Cardiac Catheterization Lab; Endoscopy Department; Nuclear Medicine; Laboratory; Lymphedema Clinic; Pain Management; Pre-admission Testing; Physical and Occupational Therapy; Respiratory Care; and Case Management.

St. Joseph Hospital Volunteer Information
The St. Joseph Hospital Volunteer Department assists in placing volunteers throughout the hospital in various capacities. Volunteers donate countless hours of service delivering mail and flowers, performing clerical duties and staffing the Front Desk area.
Volunteers of all ages and experience levels are welcome to join in the service to our community. The Volunteer Department will work to match your unique skills to the needs within the hospital.

The St. Joseph Healthcare Foundation supports the mission of St. Joseph Healthcare, including St. Joseph Hospital, through the distribution of generously donated funds. The Foundation is a tax-exempt 501(C)(3) organization; charitable gifts to St. Joseph Healthcare are deductible for tax purposes.
