Polar Bears Alive Charity Profile

Research Projects
PBI supports research projects that benefit the world's polar bears. Our low overhead is covered by gift shop sales and administrative grants, so every dollar donated goes directly to key polar bear projects.
Educational Efforts
PBI's educational efforts include a number of innovative projects collectively known as the Adventure Learning Program.
Mission and Guiding Principles
PBI is dedicated to understanding and communicating all points of view on issues affecting polar bears throughout the world.
The Board of Directors is made up of individuals with no financial interest that would benefit from involvement with PBI so as to eliminate any perceived or actual conflict of interest.
Board Members do not receive any compensation or expense reimbursement.
100% of all donations go to the initiatives.
Gift shop proceeds pay all administrative costs.
Goals
To be a key educational resource for polar bears worldwide.
To develop strong communications that represent PBI as a key resource for information on polar bears.
To create an organization that is internationally inclusive in scope and that promotes teamwork.
To be fiscally responsible and to maximize the return on investment in all programs.
