The Food Bank of Central Louisiana Charity Profile
Mission: To end hunger by providing supplemental food items to impoverished people by judiciously distributing food and grocery products throughout our community. To educate and train, by creating programs and to raise public awareness about the plight of hunger and solutions available to end it. The Food Bank of Central Louisiana is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to alleviate hunger in Central Louisiana. We distribute food and grocery products to needy families through a network of approved charitable agencies in eleven parishes: Allen, Avoyelles, Catahoula, Concordia, Grant, LaSalle, Natchitoches, Rapides, Sabine, Vernon and Winn.

Ending hunger in America depends on the volunteer work of literally millions of Americans who know that they can make a difference. Some volunteers come once, some a few times a year, and still others are here almost every day. Here are some of the many ways in which you can get involved:
Help tutor children who come to the local Kids Cafe for a hot meal.
Help repackage donated food for use at food pantries and emergency shelters.
Assist with office work, mail-outs, and fundraisers.
Deliver food boxes to home-bound elderly.
Bring youth groups to the Food Bank to help sort salvaged food and make food boxes.
Work with businesses and organizations in the community to donate to the Food Bank by sponsoring food drives and raising funds.

Contributions to the Food Bank of Central Louisiana helps many families in countless ways. Your gift will go towards the general operation of the Food Bank activities as well as used for the many programs that we sponser in the local communities.
