United Nations Development Programme UNDP Lithuania Charity Profile

UNDP started its activities in Lithuania in 1992. On 13 July 1993 Republic of Lithuania and the United Nations Development Programme signed Standard Basic Assistance Agreement (SBAA). The document provides the legal basis of the co-operation between UNDP and the Government of Lithuania; it sets in particular the conditions under which UNDP assists the government in carrying out its development projects.Presently, UNDP is implementing the projects that fall within the following topics: poverty reduction and social inclusion, democratic governance, sustainable development and protection of environment, HIV/AIDS prevention, development cooperation and partnerships with business.
