Hypertension with related cardiovascular morbidity and mortality became the number one cause of death in the world as well as an immense burden on the state's budget due to the highest reimbursement costs for drugs among any other pathology. Nowadays, increasingly more hypertension related medicine is being developed, the most expensive and time consuming international multicentre clinical trials are being carried out as contemporary treatment of hypertension is totally built on evidence based medicine. The results of the treatment of hypertension are far from desirable. There is something that still remains underestimated and unidentified.
