Rural Aging In Liberia Inc. Charity Profile
War situations not only devastate infrastructures of nations; they equally break down lives of people across the board. People with high profile standing as well as the down throdden fall to destruction wars bring generally.
For Liberia, a small West African State of nearly three million people experienced one of Africa's bloodest civil wars which begun in 1989, and continued until 1997 with Liberians going to the polls to elect their leaders. In the seven(7) years period, lives of both young and old crumbled. Infrastructure including roads, power, water facility and all that support life todate lies in ruins. Rural inhabitants who lack basic hospital and educational facilities, and proper diet suffer in different respects. Such respects entail sickness, aging, disease, malnutrition or dejection. In an effort to help empower Libber's rual aging population, a group of dedicated professionals and social workers setout to organize the RURAL AGING IN LIBERIA(RAIL).
