Kentucky Equine Humane Center Charity Profile
KyEHC is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. Mission is to provide humane treatment and shelter while working as a clearinghouse to seek adoptive homes for all of Kentucky's unwanted equines, regardless of breed.To educate the public and raise awareness for responsible equine ownership so that fewer horses end up in crisis.To work with and serve as a model for organizations with the same mission in other states: to save America's equines from inhumane treatment.

The KyEHC couldn't operate without its volunteers - and we'd love to have you join us ... at whatever level! We need volunteers that work in the barn with the horses, in the office, and also around the farm with maintenance and upkeep tasks. Whatever your specialty - we could use your help.

The Kentucky Equine Humane Center (KyEHC) is a first-of-its-kind facility, established with the specific goal of providing owners with a humane option when they need to give up their horses. KyEHC is a tranquil 72-acre farm centrally located in central Kentucky which gives horses of any breed a safe refuge. No horse will ever be turned away. Those who are mentally and physically able will be adopted out to loving homes. This is our - and your - opportunity to do the right thing by ensuring that a humane option for horses is always available.
