Senior Services Of Northern Kentucky Charity Profile
It was a group of compassionate individuals that recognized the importance of caring for the elderly in Northern Kentucky. This handful of concerned citizens and community leaders founded Senior Citizens of Northern Kentucky in December 1962. With visionary leadership, they recognized that the foundation of our community, Northern Kentucky’s elderly, were being forgotten and their needs were not being met. This group included members of Trinity Episcopal Church, the Diocese of Covington and members of Mother of God Church. They founded the first senior center in the state of Kentucky and this agency began its journey to serve older adults in December. Celebrating 40-years of service, Senior Services of Northern Kentucky is dedicated to supporting the independence and dignity of older adults.
Senior Services Of Northern Kentucky Volunteer Information
Volunteering with Senior Services of Northern Kentucky does not require a huge time commitment. In fact, most of our volunteer opportunities are very flexible, designed to fit busy schedules. We have one-time projects for families, groups and individuals; "on-call" opportunities, and many ways to help older adults in the community by giving only a few hours per month.
The needs of older adults in our community are greater than Senior Services of Northern Kentucky can meet alone. We rely on volunteers as essential members of our team as we work together to support the independence of older adults.
